Another Reason to Consider Chiropractic Care.

A new study reveals that the medication pregabalin, also known as Lyrica, is no more effective in controlling lumbar spinal stenosis-related pain in the low back than a placebo. Lyrica is approved to treat chronic pain associated with shingles, spinal cord injury, fibromyalgia, and diabetic peripheral neuropathy, but it is commonly prescribed for treatment of chronic low back pain syndromes. Lead author Dr. John Markman concludes, “Given the cost and potential side effects associated with pregabalin, it is critical that we understand the efficacy of this drug. Low Back Pain & Incidental Spina Bifida Occulta.

A new case study demonstrated the benefits of chiropractic care for a 10-year-old boy with low back pain who was referred by his pediatrician after a fall three days prior. What is a neuroma?

A neuroma is an inflamed nerve ending, and is very painful.  They are common in the feet, and are called “Morton’s Neuroma”.  They feel like a red hot ball of sharp pain, in between the knuckles of the toes, when you put pressure on the foot.  These are usually the result of improper bio mechanics of the foot, or improper footwear. Podiatrists regularly perform surgery for this condition.  This results in down time for recovery, pain, and severe scarring.  Chiropractic is very effective at relieving this condition by restoring proper bio mechanics of the foot. This results in “RELIEF”!   […]
