Thoracic Adjustments Help Low Back Pain Patients.

Chronic low back pain patients who received spinal manipulation treatment in the mid-back region of the spine reported improved range of motion and function when compared with a control group. This is good news because higher FABQ scores have been correlated with reduced activity levels, avoidance behaviors, prolonged disability, and adverse physical and psychological effects. A Brief Introduction.

Chiropractors are healthcare providers who primarily perform skilled manipulations (adjustments) to the spine and/or extremities. Their goal is to correct or improve alignment, reduce pain, and support the body’s natural ability to heal itself. In addition to adjustments, Chiropractic care may also involve other treatments such as heat and ice, electrical stimulation, relaxation techniques, rehabilitative and general exercise, counseling about diet and other lifestyle factors, and dietary supplement recommendations.
